The Hitopadesha mentions this:
यथा ह्येकेन चक्रेण न रथस्य गतिर्भवेत् ।
एवं पुरुषकारेण विना दैवं न सिध्यति ॥
Yathā hyekena cakreṇa na rathasya gatirbhavet |
evaṃ puruṣakāreṇa vinā daivaṃ na sidhyati ||
Which means that ‘Just as a chariot cannot move forward on a single wheel,
destiny alone cannot fulfill itself without
human endeavor and conscious action.’
Waiting around for life to happen to you is a spectator sport. But the most
extraordinary lives are lived by those who step onto the field. The future is not
a fixed destination that we are marching towards, but a blank canvas
waiting for a brushstroke.
When you align intention and purpose, you stop reacting to
circumstances and start shaping them.
You become the author of your own story, carving out a legacy
built on your conscious choices.
