The Maitri Upanishad mentions this
चित्तस्य हि प्रसादेन हन्ति कर्म शुभाशुभम् ।
प्रसन्नात्मात्मनि स्थित्वा सुखमव्ययमश्नुते ॥
Cittasya hi prasādena hanti karma śubhāśubham |
Prasannātmātmani sthitvā sukham avyayam aśnute ||
This means that ‘By the clarity and purification of his mind, a person destroys all distracting past impressions. With a tranquil mind established firmly in the Self, he experiences imperishable joy.’
A clear vision doesn’t just show you where you want to go, it also filters out where you don’t belong.
You stop wasting energy on brilliant distractions because you finally have a standard to say "no" to them.
Define your ultimate destination with absolute certainty, and watch how naturally the steps to get there unfold before you.
When the vision is clear, the strategy is easy.
