The Upanishads mention this:
"मन एव मनुष्याणां कारणं बन्धमोक्षयोः"
“Mana eva manuṣyāṇāṁ kāraṇaṁ bandha-mokṣayoḥ”
This means that ‘The mind alone is the cause of an individual's bondage or liberation.’
It is all in the mind. If we think we are defeated, we are. If we refuse to believe it, no event in the world can make it true.
Setbacks, failed attempts and losses are all part of our journey.
That is where our perspective is so important. Facing a defeat is not the same as being defeated. A defeat is merely an event, however being defeated is a state of mind.
Guard your hope fiercely, keep your head high.
Remember that as long as you refuse to give up, you remain undefeated.
